Accounts & subscriptions
Your account manages orders and subscriptions; the client establishes the connection. Make sure you are using the right one before updating a subscription or switching devices.
Do I need an email address to create an account?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Follow the prompts in the user panel to enter and save your account details. Use the same account to check plans, get your subscription, and submit support tickets. Store your username and password in a trusted password manager, and never use your subscription link as login credentials. If you have trouble signing in, check your keyboard input, capitalization, and any accidental spaces, then make sure you are on the VPNSouth user panel. Since your account is not tied to an email address, do not assume you can recover it by email. Check the panel for available account support options.
Do I need to choose a new plan when I switch devices or use multiple devices?
There is no device limit, so changing devices alone does not mean you need a new plan. On your new device, open the user panel, get the client for that platform, and import your current account subscription. VPNSouth supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Permission prompts and import steps may vary by platform, so follow the relevant guide. Device limits and data allowances are separate: unlimited devices does not mean unlimited data. Check your current plan and remaining data in the panel before use, and keep your account details and subscription link secure on each device.
How do I get or update my subscription link?
Sign in to the user panel and find your current subscription details in the subscription section. Then open the subscription or configuration page in your client and import them. To refresh the route list, use the update function on the imported subscription rather than simply refreshing the website you have open. If the client says the address is invalid, check your plan status and network connection first. Then get the subscription again from the panel and verify the import. After resetting or replacing a link, update your other devices with the current details shown in the panel. Your subscription link provides access to your account: do not post it publicly or share screenshots that show the full link.
Where can I get the client, and do I need a plan first?
Find client downloads on the user panel’s download page. You can get the Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux clients after signing in; you do not need to have purchased a plan first. For iOS, follow the eligibility and download instructions shown in the panel. Getting a client and getting an active subscription are separate steps. After installing the client, sign in to check your subscription status and import the configuration using the guide. Choose the download for the platform your device actually runs, and do not assume steps for another platform will apply. Marketing pages do not provide direct links to standalone installers. If a download link is not working, save the page message and submit a ticket with your platform details.
Connections & troubleshooting
Check your basic network, client connection, and app access in that order. Change one relevant setting at a time, and keep any useful error messages.
The client says it’s connected. Why won’t web pages load?
A connected status usually means the client has established a connection; it does not prove that traffic to a particular website is using the selected route. Disconnect first and check that your local network can still open websites that normally work. Reconnect, then make sure the system proxy or any network permissions required by the client are enabled. Test your browser and the affected app separately to see whether the issue is general or limited to one service. If only a specific site fails, try a route suitable for that service’s region and reopen your browser. Note the error message and selected route when asking for help; this is more useful than repeatedly reinstalling the client.
Why does my browser work, but a particular app won’t use the proxy?
Your browser and other apps may use different network settings. Some apps follow the system proxy, while others use their own connection method or are set to connect directly by split-tunneling rules. Check the client’s current mode and which rules are being applied, then see whether the app has its own proxy settings. After changing settings, fully quit and reopen the app so it does not keep using an existing connection. If you need the client’s system-level network features, grant the required permissions by following the guide for your platform. Avoid running multiple network tools with overlapping functions. A working browser does not mean every app is using the same route.
Subscription update failed or the route list is empty. What should I check first?
Check your plan status and available data in the user panel to make sure your account has an active subscription. Then confirm that the client contains a subscription URL, not a regular webpage address. Line breaks, spaces, or missing characters while copying can cause an update to fail. If the panel opens normally, get the subscription again and update it manually in the client. If your local network is having problems, restore the basic connection first. If it still fails, save the client’s error message and note what you did, then submit a ticket. Do not post your full subscription link publicly or overwrite your settings with an unknown configuration.
What details should I include in a connection support ticket?
Sign in to the user panel and describe the issue through the support ticket section. Include your device platform, client name, selected route, network environment, and where the problem occurs—connecting, updating the subscription, or accessing a particular app. Say whether your basic connection works when the client is disconnected and whether switching routes helped. You can attach a screenshot of the error after hiding account details. If only one app is affected, include its name and the exact error; this is more useful than a general description. Do not include passwords, full subscription links, or sensitive payment details in public support materials. Add any follow-up information to the same ticket.
Speed & routes
Route type can help guide your choice, but actual performance is what matters. Consider the destination region, the app you’re using, and your local network together.
How can I troubleshoot slow speeds and choose a route during peak hours?
Pause downloads or sync tasks using your network, check your local Wi-Fi and basic connection, then test the affected app. Next, try other available routes in the same region and see whether the same task improves. If the issue affects only one service, try a route in a region that works with that service. Do not choose based only on a route name or geographic distance: your experience also depends on your local carrier, the path between networks, and the destination service. If several apps are slow, note when it happened, your network environment, and the routes you tested, then submit a ticket. Peak-hour performance depends on the actual connection, so no single route is always the answer.
How should I choose between IEPL, relay, and direct routes?
These labels describe how a route is organized, not a speed ranking for every use case. IEPL uses a dedicated link; relay routes pass traffic through an intermediate node; direct routes depend more directly on network conditions between your location and the destination region. First identify the region required by your service, then compare the available routes in your client for the tasks you do every day. Document loading, AI tool response times, and video playback each have different needs, so a route that works well for one may not suit another. VPNSouth covers 90+ countries with 250+ routes. The options currently available depend on your active client subscription.
How do route regions, exit IPs, and streaming libraries relate?
A route’s region helps you choose an exit location, but a streaming service may also use your exit IP, account region, device settings, and existing session to determine what content is available. Connecting through a route in a particular region does not guarantee that all content from that region will be available to your account. Check the region selected in your client, then fully quit and reopen the app to see whether it is still using session information from before. If the service says the region is not supported, check your account eligibility against its official guidance rather than repeatedly switching routes. Streaming access depends on the actual result; labels such as “native IP” alone do not guarantee access to specific content.
Can switching routes fix ChatGPT or other AI tools that won’t load?
Trying another route can help identify whether the issue is related to your connection path, but it cannot replace checking your eligibility with the service. First determine whether the page will not load, sign-in fails, you see a region notice, or an app request is failing. Then confirm that your browser or app is actually using the selected route. If the page loads but sign-in fails, check your account status and the service’s own message. If only requests from an app fail, check its proxy settings and split-tunneling rules. Keep other settings unchanged while testing so you can isolate the cause. VPNSouth provides network connectivity; the AI service’s subscription, permissions, and supported regions are determined by its operator.

Billing & refunds
Check the billing method and data allowance before confirming an order. You can submit refund requests and technical support questions separately to make each request clear.
How much is a monthly plan, and when does data reset?
Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. Choose a plan based on how you browse, use AI tools, stream video, and transfer files—not just the number of devices. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Check the panel for details and your account status. Monthly plans and non-expiring data packages have different billing rules, so package terms do not apply to monthly plans. Before paying, compare the options on the plans page, then confirm the selected item and billing details in the panel.
Who are data packages for, and do they expire?
Data packages are ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. They remain valid until used and never expire. They can suit irregular usage where you prefer to buy based on actual data needs. If your usage is more predictable, compare the data allowance and reset schedule with a monthly plan. “Never expire” describes the package’s validity; it does not mean you can keep using it after the data runs out. Before paying, confirm in the panel whether the selected item is a data package or a monthly plan. If your account already has a plan, do not assume how different items will stack or be deducted; check through a support ticket first.
Which payment methods are supported, and what if my plan status doesn’t update after payment?
We support Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Start the payment process from the orders page in the user panel. Before paying, check the order and amount, then follow the instructions on the payment page. If your plan status has not changed after payment, return to the original order to check its status. Do not pay again just because the page has not refreshed. If payment is confirmed but the order still looks wrong, report the order through a panel support ticket and keep your payment record for reference. Hide sensitive account and transaction details before sharing screenshots. Do not transfer funds to an address not shown in the panel or rely on a payment page forwarded by someone else to confirm your order.
How do I request a refund? Do I need to report a connection issue?
VPNSouth offers a 60-day money-back guarantee. To request a refund, sign in to the user panel and submit a ticket with your request and the relevant order details so they can be checked. You do not need to cite a connection issue to request a refund. If you also want help troubleshooting, describe your device, route, and error separately so the two requests are clear. Read the refund terms in the terms of service before submitting, and provide any required information requested through the ticket. Processing updates and payment-provider confirmations depend on the actual order. This page does not promise a processing time or add refund fees or restrictions beyond the stated terms.
